Scanline works by fetching the public HTML content of URLs you submit and analyzing them to generate SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) audit scores and recommendations. We do not store or access any private data from the websites you scan.
If you use Scanline without signing in, we enforce a limit of one free scan per visitor, ever — not per day. This is enforced with a signed browser cookie and, as a backstop, a salted hash of your IP address (we never store your raw IP). These scans are never shareable or discoverable via link — there is no way for anyone else to view them.
When you sign in via Google OAuth (through Supabase), your scans are tied to your account and visible only to you. We use your Google account information (name, email) to authenticate and identify you, but we do not store or use this data beyond authentication.
We do not sell, rent, or share any scanned website content with third parties. Scanline does not use your scan data for training models, advertising targeting, or any purpose other than delivering audit results to you.
Scanline uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect aggregate usage analytics about how the site is used. This data is anonymized and does not include scanned URLs or audit content. GA4 may set cookies to track sessions and traffic patterns.
You can permanently delete your account, all scans, and your credit history at any time from account settings. This also cancels any active subscription. If you'd rather we do it for you, contact info@scanline.cc.
